Social Skills Group is an educational group for children, adolescents and young adults with poor perspective taking and/or social difficulties:

Who:
Children, adolescents, and young adults, who are in need of help with peer relations and/or social skills.

When:
Groups are to be held Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday
Group start times 3 pm, 4 pm, and 5 pm

Duration:
50 minutes per week for 12 weeks

About the group:
Each group will consist of 4-5 members of similar age, abilities, and needs. Sessions will focus on specific social skill sets such as conversational skills (i.e. how to introduce yourself, beginning a conversation, joining in, listening skills, turn taking, conveying good listening, and ending a conversation), as well as coping with social stress and learning cooperative problem solving with peers. The group's format will include games, discussion, and role-play. Parents and caretakers will be offered guidance on how to better foster social skills.
